Practicing Teachers Websites Research

I had the honor to view many Practicing Teachers websites  and my research was very interesting. What I appreciated about all of them was the ideas and facts that they listed to support a good learning environment for young learners. Some of these are;

·         The websites all promoted literacy for students especially for beginners prek-3rd grade, to prepare them for higher level classes.

·         They demonstrated how to develop good classroom management skills to maintain organization and structure within the classroom for students and also help teacher’s teaching skills become more effective, efficient and enjoyable.

·         There was a wide range of assessment methods and tools that can be used to enhance the learning for preschoolers and boost their critical thinking skills, including printable activity sheets, basic math, alphabets, color charts and lots more.

·         There were decorative designs for the classroom to make students feel welcome in a fun and comfortable environment for example; colorful posters, using characters such as a frog to demonstrate how we need to dress for different seasons or to point out the days of the week.

·          The sites gave great concepts on how to set up a functional classroom with items such as bulletin boards and a library.

·         One of the sites concentrated on creating a positive classroom environment by enforcing, “an atmosphere of mutual respect and support in the classroom, where students feel safe in expressing concerns or asking questions, and where tolerance and a sense of common identity and community are promoted.”

·         Constructive techniques were given on how teachers can keep students motivated to learn.

·         In addition to all the tools and classroom ideas there was also comment sections that keeps an open line of communication for both parents and the public to post their views and make recommendations towards their children’s education.

This is a list of the sites I researched that impressed me most;
